Golf's a funny old game when you think about it. There aren't many other sports that bring so much frustration so close to so much elation. There’s no worse feeling than shanking a tee shot next to a bunch of mates absolutely ribbing you. But by the time you’re on the 19th enjoying a cold one, you remember that one sweet shot that will keep you coming back. You remember the bum taps, the high 5’s, loud laughs and the collective recognition of nearly killing someone with a shot gone wrong. We know there’s a whole heap of people who love golf for these same reasons.
Course style has remained constant save for our brand icon John Daly aka Long John / The Lion / Wild Thing. A proper alpha mad dog known as much for his non-country club appearance and attitude as he was absolutely sending a drive. No one wants to play golf looking or feeling like a bell-end, conforming to the dress regulations of a course serving up tea and scones at the interval instead of a couple of cold ones.
